After listening to your needs we are very happy to announce our newest addition to our Virtual University: Antenna 101!

Telecom is a rapidly growing and changing industry. Therefore it’s critical for all employees to have an overall understanding of today’s antenna technologies. Our new course is designed for non-engineering workers and will enable them to better understand not only the field for which they work but also how to work more safely!

All Antennas produce RF, and it’s imperative to know what frequencies employees are exposed too. Did you know the MPE safety requirements are based on frequency and the relationship of the wavelength to the body or its parts?

This course will cover basic rules such as “the Higher the frequency the shorter the wavelength”. Not only will this course cover several individual types of antennas (like panels, dish, beams, FM, TV< STL, microwave, Yagi, LTE, PCS, 4G, and cellular), but it will also include how antennas work, antenna gain, beam width, loss, wavelength, and frequency. This class is imperative for any telecom worker and will give them clearer insight into the technologies of their industry.

We’re buzzing with the excitement surrounding this latest class! but don’t take our word on it, run over to our website to check it out for yourself!! RSI Virtual University
